Connemara Mining Company plc was established in 2006 by veterans of the Irish zinc industry to exploit zinc and gold opportunities. It currently holds 29 prospecting licences in Ireland.
Connemara’s strategic objective is to create shareholder value by exploring in Ireland, one of the most prospective countries in the world for zinc and using our experience to identify prospective ground and joint venture with major mining companies. Ireland continues to produce over 25% of Western Europe’s zinc and lead.
Ireland is an emerging gold exploration province. Connemara Mining has joint ventured with Dale Hendricks, a well known Canadian gold prospector, to identify the source of the 1790's 'Gold Rush' in the Wicklow and Wexford area.
